How to make your blog look professional

Your blog need a professional look no matter what is the content in your blog.I know your content is very important but without a good look of your blog or website, it just doesn't give that taste you want your readers to get.

Blogging is getting popular day by day.the top most blogging platforms are - Blogger and Word press. Both are good for newbies but Blogger is a bit simpler then Word press and I recommend Blogger for newbies I will share a few tips that you must apply to your blog that will give a better professional look to it.

Pages you should add to your blog:

Lets start with the pages you must add to your blog.Following are the pages;

• Privacy Policy:

       Privacy policy of your blog is very important.You should add a separate page (stand alone pages) for this.In privacy policy you.In privacy policy you discloses some or all of the ways party gather and manages a clients data.If you want to apply for Google adsense you should must have Privacy Policy.
      I have an article on How to create a privacy policy for your blog, read my article, its easy to create but very important.

• Contact us/me :

        Another page you would need is contact us page.If you are writing unique and useful articles on your blog but don't have any contact info, its just not fair.Your readers/viewers of your blog want to know about you so you should give them some info about how can they contact. You can give your email address, Google+ and Facebook id.

• Disclaimer:

        In disclaimer you let your viewers/readers know about your responsibility and their responsibility and give information about the content of your blog, like how you got this info or images, and you wouldn't be liable for any losses and/or damages in connection with your blog/site.Check out disclaimer of this blog, so that you get some idea about it Click here.

Design/Template :

Design or template of your blog should be simple not much fancy.Simple means that it should be user friendly and they can get to any part of your blog easily.It should not slow down your blog/site loading time.

Favicon : 

Favicon is important to give your blog a professional look.It represent your blog.In the following screenshot you can see my blog favicon.

You must have noticed the impression that you get, from blogs with their own favicon and blogs not having their own favicon.It really gives a good look to your blog.

 Remove useless gadgets :

  Your blog don't need to be full of gadgets.It does slow down your blog loading time.First thing you should do is to remove all those useless gadgets.There are a few useful gadgets like +1 button, logo, labels, popular posts etc.

Use images :

Use images in your articles etc.Images will give a better look to your content.But do not use it too much after all your written content is more important than images.Be careful of copyright images, you can use public domain images or from free stock.

Connect to social media:

Facebook and Twitter are the most popular social media platforms.You should be active on such platforms and add a Facebook or twitter  gadget to your blog to let your viewers follow on those platforms too.

Things To Do Before Applying For AdSense

           Getting rejected by Adsense is very frustrating and many newbies give up when they get rejected for a  number of times.There are lots of reasons for getting rejected .

         Do you want to get approved by Google Adsense ? If YES...Then you should not hurry up for applying before you are fully ready.I will share with you some tips that you should follow before applying for adsense. Those tips wouldn't just help in approving adsense account but is also good for your blog to look professional. Adsense is the best among the ads networks and that's why its the most wanted one.  

            Your primary goal should be your blog not adsense approval.  
Following are the tips;

Design/Template Of Your Blog:

Design/template of your blog/site is very important.It should be simple, not a fancy one. Adsense likes user friendly websites/blogs.User friendly means;

• It shouldn't load slowly.
• User can have access to all parts of your blog easily.

No Copyright Content:

Your blog shouldn't have any type of copyright material. When I started blogging I had some idea about copyright laws but i didn't know that most of the images are also under such laws, so you should be careful about images and videos too.

You can use images from public domain or free stock but still you should confirm it that its not under any kind of law(there are different types of copyright laws).Try to use your brain and write articles because there is no easy money on  internet.

Privacy Policy: *(Adsense requirement)

          Many of newbies don't know anything about that it is adsense requirement to have a privacy policy of your blog/site.In privacy policy you discloses some or all of the ways party gather and manages a clients data.I have a detail article on How to create a privacy policy for your blog. Just read my article and follow the steps given there, its very easy to create a privacy policy BUT very important. 

                  You might have heard of getting banned from Google Adsense due clicking your own ads but you could get banned for not having a privacy policy.In the screenshot you can see Google adsense program policies.

Enough Content:

You should have enough content on your blog and it would be much better if that is unique.At least write 10 to 15 or more useful articles before applying for adsense. It will be much better if your blog is about one particular niche, adsense love such blogs and it would be very helpful for you too, to concentrate on just one topic.

Remove Other Networks ads:

If you already have ads on your blog/site of other networks then first thing you should do is to remove all those ads before applying adsense.
         Well it doesn't mean that Google doesn't allow you to use other networks ads put it would be a good idea to remove those ads before applying.

Traffic:

           Adsense doesn't allow you to use bots, get paid traffic or other such websites which generates inorganic traffic.Organic traffic is much better than inorganic traffic.More, unique and lengthy(not useless) content can help you in getting traffic.Be active on other social media platforms like Facebook and twitter.

 

        If you want your new blog to get traffic in just a few weeks or days then to be honest quite blogging.Getting traffic takes time and need hard work and pure content.
       Stay away from such websites which generate traffic to your blog Because Google Adsense don't want such blogs or sites having inorganic traffic.

Image Optimization:

If you use images in your blog/site then you must optimize those images.

     Google bots can not read images and so if you have a blog containing mostly images and you apply for Google Adsense then your request will be rejected because of thin content(not enough words).

     To solve this problem, write a short paragraph to every image or group of images you upload; for example; describe the image, why and when you took this image etc..

    But by just writing a paragraph doesn't mean your job of image optimization is done, which is a separate process.Its very easy to optimize images...

Submit Your site To Search Engines:

Submit your site/blog to search engines because you want your site to be indexed and visible for many viewers.You can use webmaster tools for that like Google webmaster tools and Bing webmaster tools.


Note: I want to be honest with you::Its not guarantee that adsense will approve your request even when you have followed all the tips and rules because  i have a few examples of bloggers, like one had over 100 post but still got rejected for insufficient content (thats really heart breaking).But never loose hope and after got rejected on the first try then you should wait at least a month to apply for it again and there are other ads networks that you can try if adsense don't accepts you.

How To Create A Privacy Policy For Your Blog

Many of newbies to blogging don't know that  Privacy policy is an important part of your blog/website, especially when you are applying for adsense. You always hear of people getting banned from adsense for clicking their own ads but you didn't realize you could get banned for not having a privacy policy.  In the following screen shot of "Adsense program policies", it has been cleared that you would need a privacy policy.Clicking the following screenshot will lead you to adsense program policies.

 *There are a few "Privacy policy Generators" that i found while browsing for my own privacy policy.I will share links of 2 such generators with you guys.    Click here: Serprank    its a simple one .I used this one to generate privacy policy for my own blog Click here to see privacy policy generated for this blog.I will explain its steps below.  Click here :Generateprivacypolicy it requires a little more information than Serprank generator.I will not suggest this one for newbies or those interested in adsense.Generate privacy policy from Serprank generator:                                                                Following are the three steps;   

Step 1: Give your site URL and an email address that you would like to give to your viewers through which they can contact you.
Step 2:  If your website use cookies than click YES. My blog does not collect cookies but i still clicked YES because there is no harm in that. 
Step 3: Click the boxes of the advertisers you use.I currently don't use any but i still clicked Google AdSense because i will start using it in future.

University Life

Colorful dreams about university & the reality 

NOTE: In this article i will share my personal experience with you which is true for many other students too like my friends.When i use the word "we" by this i mean "me and my friends" and by using word "you" mean all of the viewers(readers) of this blog.

              Its every student's dream to get into a top ranking university, go abroad or at least get admission in top university in their locality ,so that they can have a chance of better career and build their future.Many students have colorful dreams about university life,me and my friends had the same dreams and the only hurdle we thought at that was the entry test .So just pass that test and everything after that will be fine and university is going to be a fun life, tension free, no more stress of heavy books, homework and quizzes like we had in high school.So I use to think about the entry test as the only major hurdle left and had colorful dreams about university life that there will be more fun and less stress about books."Why we had all those dreams?" let me answer your question; there were two big reasons for that and following are those reasons;

1. Our parents or elders always used to tell us to study hard for school or college examinations/quizzes/homework, work really hard for the university entry test and after that the worst thing they would say was that "Once you get into university there wont be much rules or stress from our side and university is not going to be a big deal".
2. The other point is that most of us didn't had their elder brother/sister or any friend in university so that we could know better about the university life.All we had seen were university students going to their institutes with only one or two books etc in their hand and we used to carry those heavy bags with lots of books, copies and other stuff in it.

It kind of made up our minds that university life is going to be a stress free life.

Reality: "after getting admission in the university"...

So i worked hard for the entry test, passed it and thought its going to be a start of a new life and indeed it was a start of a new life.

My first day at university was fine, not much special.I went to the notice board to note down the time table of my classes and went into my class because it was the time of my first class at the university which was calculus and the teacher name is Noor-Badshah.After introduction the first thing that said was;

                    "I know all of you have colorful dreams about university life that its going to be just                      fun and no rules but this is not the reality and you all will see that its much                                  different than what you thought."   

He was absolutely right, it was not like what we thought.As I have mentioned those two reasons for our colorful dreams above, that was never the case but instead;

You would need a whole library :(

1. Our parents set new goals for us with new rules to get good grades.
2. The thing that we didn't know before getting into university was that those students we used to see with a single book in their hand, had lots of heavy books at their homes, with lots of new stuff. 

Now my 3rd semester in university will start after summer vacations and feel really good *when exams are over* and enjoying the vacations even though the weather is really hot.

My advice to all students with colorful dreams:

• Enjoy your school life, its the best part of your life and stop worrying about universities etc just focus on your own studies and fun.
• University life is not that bad too...In this article I am not generalizing the whole university life, i just wanted to share my experience with you.

Characters means, every letter you type counts.You could be writing about your favorite CITY, about the latest smart phone, about your pet, a new movie etc.But there are o few other rules, which you have to follow. 

You will be paid $0.01 for every view, like, dislike, comment, social media share you get on your posts.

Amazon Associates is the affiliate program offered by Amazon.com. All you have to do is sell the products offered by Amazon to third parties.  Its not that much easy as it sound.
